His aggressive advocacy is backed by his experience as a former Miami-Dade Assistant State Attorney. Mr. Mirer is a former prosecutor who has dealt with criminal trials of all levels, from the other side of the bench. He eventually rose to the role of prosecutor in the Career Criminal Robbery Unit, handling more than 100 trials and honing his courtroom skills.
Mr. Mirer earned his B.A. from the University of Miami, and he began his legal experience by earning his J.D. from the University of Miami, School of Law, graduating with honors. As a Palm Beach County criminal defense attorney, he has since been asked to serve as a judge for his alma mater's mock trials. He has also lectured on cross-examination, teaching other lawyers through the Continuing Legal Education program. He has spoken on trial methods, working with the American Association of Addiction run by Robert DuPont, the former U.S. Drug Czar. Mr. Mirer has further been included in a panel of experts, asked to offer legal opinions for criminal law articles.
